50 Years After Apollo 11
This week marks the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, and Alabamians have a little extra reason to be proud of this monumental American achievement.
Why? Because the Saturn V rocket that would send those astronauts to the moon on the Apollo 11 mission was conceived of in Huntsville, AL at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. The flight center was heavily involved in the Apollo program from the start in helping develop the entire Saturn series of rockets right here in Alabama.
That legacy of Alabamians' spirit of hard-work and innovation lives on here today, and we're proud of that legacy on Team Doug. We're going to keep working to ensure that Alabama is reaching for the stars.
I had the honor of speaking on the Senate floor about this inspiring anniversary and you can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0hEuCOTVes

5 年He is the senator - NOT from Alabama.? He gets almost zero funding from people in this state.? He is a senator from New York and CA where his funding comes from.
