50 THINGS YOU CAN DO TO GET MORE VIEWS AND SUBSCRIBERS ON YOUTUBE
50 THINGS YOU CAN DO TO GET MORE VIEWS AND SUBSCRIBERS ON YOUTUBE
1. Be genuine – do videos about things that you genuinely care about and just be yourself. Viewers can easily tell if you are being honest and genuine and it will greatly help you make those emotional connections.
2. Focus on watch time – by increasing retention and making longer videos you will increase more watch time and will rank higher on search and get more views from suggested video.
3. Give value – think about what you can bring which others can't? think about what the audience gains by watching your video.
4. Work on your thumbnails – good thumbnails generate higher click through rates and high click through rates get you promoted by the algorithm every time.
5. Be consistent. Decide on the amount of videos you can create per month without turning your life upside down and stick to it.
6. Write great titles. A good title creates an information gap that clicking on the video is supposed to solve. Look at how newspapers title their article. Relevance and curiosity is a recipe for a good title.
7. Post on set hours and day. By posting your videos in a specific day at a specific time you will create expectation and an emotional connection with your viewers.
8. Stay relevant. Make videos about things that interest your viewers right now. You can lurk the trending tab or participate in relevant forums to identify trends early.
9. Don't waste time promoting off-site, focus on getting the algorithm working for you and promoting your video. The best way, get a high click through rate and a high watch time on your videos and the algorithm will do the rest.
10. Paid traffic is worthless. Unless you got 50000 dollars to spend on ads, this is a waste of time and money. Even if you got that money, I would advise against buying traffic. Once you stop paying the traffic stops. Plain and simple. Spend that money on gear and software instead of ads and promotion.
11. Get a decent microphone. Before anything else. That is a small expense with incredible importance for your channel growth.

14. Collaborate as much as you humanly can. Collaborating with other creators will double up your exposure and will drive a new audience to your channel. Usually it would work best with similar size creators. If you offer a joint proect, offer to host it on your channel first. Don’t be an A-hole.
15. Batch produce videos. By doing that you eliminate setup time of camera lights and sound which takes a lot and you only do it once for a bunch of videos. Make sure you got enough battery though, I had a horrific incident a while ago which involved a dead battery without me noticing for about 3 hours.
