To add to the resource on strengths-based practices, here are our 50 strengths-based tips for teachers:

  1. Get to know each student's unique strengths and interests.
  2. Encourage students to set goals based on their strengths.
  3. Provide opportunities for students to showcase their strengths.
  4. Offer praise and recognition for students' strengths.
  5. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  6. Use strengths-based language when giving feedback.
  7. Help students build on their strengths to overcome challenges.
  8. Collaborate with parents to identify and nurture their child's strengths.
  9. Celebrate diversity and different strengths in the classroom.
  10. Incorporate students' strengths into lesson planning.
  11. Encourage peer-to-peer recognition of strengths.
  12. Foster a growth mindset by focusing on progress and improvement.
