i totally agree that one should be able to shape the landscape of innovation and that IP is a super important tool for that. but i have a warning from biology. apparently the dominant male in a herd of deer has double the parasite level of other deer. this may have to do with him being too busy being dominant. also in IP, the dominant design is always under attack and people use IP to be parasitical. While i might not agree, LEGO feels that way.
