5 years at AWS!

September 2nd marks my first 5 years of intense hard work, fun and making history on AWS. I am overwhelmed with the amount of work done and have only gratitude as many of the following public activities could have not been achieved without the partnership with customers, Amazonians, AWS Partners, auditors, regulators, magazines, institutions and industry associations.

1.????? Certifications

o?? A total of four ENS certifications each year instead of every two in Spain

o?? First Cloud Service provider to qualified a cloud security service using LINCE methodology in the CPSTIC of CCN-PYTEC for sensitive and classified workloads in Spain with a total, and counting, of 14 AWS Security services.

o?? Two GNS Classified certification in Portugal

o?? ISO 22301:2019 demanded by customers in Portugal

o?? Two PINAKES the banking association CCI third party qualification in Spain demanded by the banking industry in Spain

2.????? Guidelines and tools

o?? 8 secure configuration guidelines for ENS, including the investment to help upgrade the Prowler tool for ENS and related functionality.

o?? 3 examples of AWS Conformance Packs for each level of the ENS to help customers with the ENS requirements

o?? The creation of the ENS AWS Landing Zone

o?? Creation of the eIDAS checklist to help customers.

o?? Example of an Open source V-SOC with MITRE Att&ck for AWS Security Hub with controls that link to security standards such as CIS, C5, ENS , NIST and PCI.

3.????? Partnership and Collaboration

o?? Launch of the AWS Global CyberSecurity & Compliance Acceleration for AWS Partners (Previously called ATO in AWS) in Spain.

o?? Memorandums of understanding with CCN and Partners such as Minsait, Telefonica and T-Systems.

4.????? Events and Community engagement

o?? Recurrent annual sponsorships, workshops, and presentations such CCN STIC Conferences in Madrid and Panama,? INCIBE Summer Bootcamp with Table Top Exercises, workshops and panels, AWS Capture The Flags and keynotes activities in C1b3rwall and Criptored within RootedCON, ENISE,? AWS Initiate Portugal, AWS Madrid Summit, CCI annual Observatory event, The UNE and SETELECO annual event,? Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence RADAR, Master class of AWS Security to the law enforcement via the Cybersecurity program created by the University of Zaragoza.

o?? AWS adheres as a company to the national standard body of Spain (UNE) giving us an opportunity to collaborate in different committees and standard bodies such as CTN320, ISO standards, CEN-CENELEC, ETSI and COPANT.

o?? Collaborate and work backwards from customers in industry associations and institutions such as the Regulatory Working Group of the National Security Forum, co-chairing the OSAC Madrid Chapter of the USA embassy in Spain, NATO Locked Shields, Vice-president of the Cybersecurity committee of AMETIC, IIF Cyber Security Roundtable, ElCano Royal Institute and ISMS forum

5.????? Publications

o?? Published articles and reports (ASLAN, SIC, AWS Security blogs, IE-Ecija Law institutions observatory and helped translate AWS guidelines and AWS whitepapers into Spanish.
