5 words that I'll never forget!!!

Top of the weekend my friends! Today I wanted to share 5 words that I'll never forget! They are "Aren't you glad you did"! Here's why?

Many of our memories are distorted by time. However some memories will be the clearest picture of what being human is all about. This is one of those times.

It happened about 20 yers ago, I grabbed a meal at a very small hole in the wall restaurant not far from the job. Long story short, after my radio show. I got really sick! Hospital sick and went right to the hospital emergency room right after the show. (By the way, that restaurant went out of business the next day)

As fate would have it my person care doctor just happen to be on duty at Arlington Memorial. Lucky huh? Anyway in a day or two I felt back to normal. Here's where these 5 words "Aren't you glad you did" make their daunting debut.

I'm a health food nut (vegetarian for two decades) and have a realistic tradition with Whole Foods Market. Probably 5 or 6 days a week and that might be modest. Needless to say it had been been about 15 days since my last visit.

The inquiries about my absence was plentiful. I shared my tale of woe with one of my favorite staff members. His response was priceless? Not how are you doing now or are you fully recovered?

He with a slight poignancy in his voice says "Did you pray?' Huh? "Did you pray before you ate the food". "Yeah! I always pray before a meal". Then he says "Aren't you glad you did"? Then he walked away smiling. What an astonishing, delightful, wonderful word of truth! I never forgot!

My parents called it saying "Grace" before our meal. Which brought to mind the election this week. Did you Pray? Before you voted? If not will you please pray now? Don't pray for the candidate of your choice to win. Pray that Elohim Adonai aka Almighty GOD's favor is on our country.

May HE elect a group of politicians that will make this our nation under GOD, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Amen! Donut ever forget it.
