It’s not only what we do from Monday through Friday that affects the outcomes we are receiving in life — What we do on the weekend influences our health, finances, happiness, and job as well.
TLDR:
1. Make a week’s worth of preparations ahead of?time.
2. The week is for creating, while the weekend is for consuming.
3. Take some time to think about?it.
4. Take a?break.
5. Make stillness a?routine.
Some individuals spend their weekends putting themselves behind in several crucial aspects of their lives. Then, they’re pushed to catch up again over the remainder of the week.
For others, the weekend provides a stimulus for development and advancement. Let’s look at 5 smart habits successful individuals follow throughout the weekends, giving them a competitive advantage for the rest of the week.
1. Make a week’s worth of preparations ahead of?time.
According to one research, individuals who utilize a timetable and organize their behaviors are 3x more likely to stick to them than those who have good intentions but don’t use a calendar.
We?develop a crystal-clear action plan for the week by organizing our whole week. We?know what to concentrate on and what our priorities are right away. Throughout the week, we?will be much more productive, goal-oriented, and purposeful with our time due to this.
Planning, as they say, is the key to avoiding lousy performance.
“People are thrifty when it comes to protecting their possessions; nevertheless, when it comes to wasting time, they are the most wasteful of the one thing in which it would be necessary to be stingy.” — Seneca, a Roman Stoic philosopher
We’re already ahead of the game when our weekly calendar represents our objectives, ambitions, and aspirations.
2. The week is for creating, while the weekend is for consuming.
Whereas Monday through Friday should be all about creating (results, content, and high-quality production), the weekend is about consuming.

I’m not talking about watching videos on social media or watching movies on Netflix (guilty), but I do think we?should make time for that if we?want to. Every single one of us is a human being.
Instead, I’m referring to consuming stuff that will help us?learn more knowledge, wisdom, and ability — ideally so we?can achieve more significant outcomes throughout the week.
We should use the weekend to obtain a ‘wisdom edge,’ whether through reading my LinkedIn posts, watching documentaries, reading non-fiction books, or conducting industry research. Those that continue to learn and develop themselves are the ones who advance.
3. Take some time to think about?it.
It’s good to celebrate success, but it’s more vital to learn the lessons of failure— Microsoft’s founder.?
Reflection should be a daily habit, but weekends are a great time to take a step back and reflect on the previous week’s lessons and create plans for the coming week. Gretchen Rubin, author of “The Happiness Project,”?recommends keeping a “one phrase journal” to stimulate daily contemplation.?
Make Saturday or Sunday our day to go through the submissions from the previous week!
4. Take a?break.
Meditate, go on a walk, wash the vehicle, or watch a movie. Successful individuals understand that their brains can’t work nonstop, so they set aside time on weekends to clear their heads and prepare for the week ahead.
?Adding amusement to our weekend is a beautiful way to unwind and divert our attention away from the job.
5. Make stillness a?routine.
Even the most influential celebrity in the world, according to Forbes, finds time to meditate for 20 minutes twice a day! Even the business sector recognizes the advantages of meditation and mindfulness for stress reduction, productivity enhancement, creative enhancement, and overall well-being.
With striving to jam housework, exercise, family responsibilities, social activities, and more into 48 hours, weekends may frequently be busier than weekdays. Even on weekends, the most successful individuals regularly take time out for silence.
Lastly,
Successful individuals can have a productive workweek by taking these measures on the weekend. Now that the weekend is approaching, we?may begin putting these ideas into action to set ourselves up for more productive work weeks.
