Hello friend. For the last few weeks, we have been conducting several webinars as well as the live interactive sessions to discuss new toolbox and their applications with MATLAB. In this article, I am going to summarize every session briefly. Hopefully, If you liked any of our webinars, you would surely watch another and share it with your colleagues to spread awareness with them. All webinars at MATLAB Helper are done as per the mission of evolving the next generation of technology developers.
Simulink Design Optimization
Let's imagine that you want a system to be controlled. Therefore, you go to Simulink, build the model, simulate it, compare the response obtained in simulation with your real measured data, and see that they do not match, what happened? Are you sure that you have found the correct parameters for your model? No? Don't worry about it, with Simulink Design Optimization it is straightforward to discover this, you will only need actual measured data from your system, and then we will see how to estimate the parameters of your model. Actually, if you want more, we could use the same toolbox to get a proper response from the system according to your requirements. This webinar was conducted on 8th August 2020. 2D Environment Mapping with Arduino and Thingspeak
Learn how to use the MATLAB support package for Arduino and ultrasonic sensors dealing specifically with autonomous robots along with servo motor to create a 2D map of the environment. Autonomous robot systems depend highly on their ability to recover a durable spatial model of their surroundings from sensory information and use it in robot planning and control. All these abilities enable the robot to make its own temporary decisions based on the sensor's data. There has been an exponential development in Arduino based projects with a touch of advancement every time. Here we will learn to send the data over the internet to the cloud or IoT analytics platform ThingSpeak? and visualization of the data over ThingSpeak. ThingSpeak is an IoT analytics platform service that allows you to aggregate, visualize, and analyze live data streams in the cloud. ThingSpeak provides instant visualizations of data posted by your devices to ThingSpeak. With the ability to execute MATLAB? code in ThingSpeak, you can perform online analysis and process the data as it comes in. This webinar was conducted on 15th August 2020. Control System Designer Toolbox
Whether it is our day to day life or academic or industrial place, whether related to the regulation of temperature or plotting plots or controlling a domestic boiler, the Control system plays a significant role. For a given transfer function of a system, the control system is designed for the given design specifications or design requirements. The various methods of tuning a compensator for designing the control system will be discussed using interactive techniques. This includes tuning the compensator graphically and using automated tuning methods. Not only designing the control system by tuning the compensator, but there is also a lot more in this toolbox. We can choose architecture according to our necessity and can export the designed control system to Simulink. Not only this much, but we will also explore the methods of exporting the values of the blocks in the system to the MATLAB workspace. This webinar was conducted on 22nd August 2020. Mapping Toolbox
Wondering how you can create your own customized maps and globes in MATLAB? MATLAB makes it possible with its Mapping toolbox. This webinar will give you an introduction to this toolbox and help you know its essential functions and implementations. You will also get to know the three most important uses of this toolbox and an application. Starting with what a Mapping toolbox does and its uses, this webinar is the ideal place for you to start with the Mapping toolbox. The main topic that we will be concentrating on in this webinar would be performing various 2D and 3D maps and globe displays. The focus is on creating a map of a place using its data and how to animate to produce a rotating globe with your customized properties. Further, learn how we can construct a map of major world cities enhanced with coastlines and terrain. We shall also see how to interactively pick a location and get the name and location of the nearest city. There is also an application given for this, where we shall see how we can plot the COVID-19 cases in a global geobubble map. This webinar was conducted on 29th August 2020. Image Processing using Fuzzy Logic Toolbox
Learn to implement Fuzzy Logic for techniques like Edge Detection, Noise Reduction, Image Segmentation, etc. Fuzzy logic deals with approximate instead of fixed and exact reasoning. Fuzzy variables may have a truth value that ranges in degree between 0 and 1; extended to handle the concept of partial truth where the real value may range between entirely true or entirely false. This computational logic uses truth degrees as a mathematical model of the vagueness phenomenon. At the same time, the probability is a mathematical model of ignorance. A vast number of complex problems may be solved using Fuzzy logic, specifically Fuzzy modeling and optimization methods. Fuzzy modeling is the understanding of the problem and analysis of the Fuzzy information where the Fuzzy optimization solves the Fuzzy model optimally using optimization techniques via membership functions.
