1. Social Proof
We are more likely to buy or engage with someone that has worked with certain brands or companies.
Great examples: Dr. Natalia Wiechowski and Ali Mirza
2. Say What You Do
Literally list out exactly what you do for clients like Neil Patel and Tenita Johnson.
3. Sharing Expertise
Show yourself speaking and sharing your expertise in a setting with people listening to you. That image invokes a feeling of thought leadership and you can also show yourself at work in a business setting or out in the field. These two examples incorporate that and elements on social proof at the same time: Tim Schmoyer and Richard Moore.
4. More Ways to Connect
Make it easy for people to find you online or let them know you have a podcast, YouTube channel, or let people know how to best consume the content you create and continue the conversation. Great examples: Rachel Chang and Tima Elhajj.
5. Personality and Expertise
Show who you are and what you do with some personality. Highlight colorful or artistic that let people experience and see your expertise! Great Examples: Michaela Alexis and Brittany Krystle Hoffman.

6. Call to Action and Contact
This before and after from a recent client, Jessica Gonifas, shows how you can use the cover image to direct prospective clients to reach out and positions your business clearly to show who you serve.
Leveling up her cover image resulted in more connection requests, inbound leads, and sales. PLUS she was able to drive more sales from LinkedIn in less than 4 months to go full time into her own business.

1 年Judi Fox this article on 5 ways your LinkedIn profile cover photo can sell you provides valuable insights on how to optimize one's LinkedIn profile. One key takeaway I got from this article is that the cover photo is a prime real estate that can help sell oneself to potential clients or employers. It is important to make sure that the cover photo is high quality, visually appealing, and relevant to one's professional brand. My question for the author is, what are some common mistakes people make when choosing a cover photo for their LinkedIn profile?
