5 Ways To Upgrade Your Online Brand As A Dancer This Week

We are heading into a new season, and it's the perfect time to evaluate the current state of your online brand as a dancer, dance teacher, choreographer, or dance business owner, and get clear on your strengths and weaknesses.

Today's article serves as a launching point for you to make some deliberate, and strategic moves, to upgrade your online presence, so that you will be positioned to bring in more money, and stand out as an expert in your field of dance.


5 Ways To Upgrade Your Online Brand As A Dancer This Week

1.Create an introduction video. You’d be surprised at how many people follow you on social media, and have no idea what you do, what you’ve done, or what you’re currently doing. Post a video sharing who you are, what you do, who you serve through your work, and how you might be able to help your followers. End with a call to action to invite your followers to send you a DM/message, or join your e-mail list for more valuable resources and information.


2.Update your website. When was the last time you updated your About page on your website? When was the last time you added some new photos, or a new blog post or video to your website? Get on that ASAP! You never know who’s looking at it.


3.Update your marketing materials. Your website is only one aspect of your online marketing. You need to update EVERYTHING regularly. Have you updated your rate sheet, epk/media kit, resume, bio, photos, reel, etc. recently? It’s about that time!


4.Tell more stories. As the saying goes, “Facts tell, stories sell.” Storytelling is one of THE most important parts of your communications strategy and marketing strategy for your brand. People relate to stories that transform them, challenge them, empower them, and uplift them. Stories that give them hope, make them feel like they’re not alone, and show the personal side of your brand. Share more personal stories this week in your social media posts, and watch how differently people respond to what you share.


5.Show us, Don’t Tell Us! Remember that dance is a visual medium. Remember that people prefer to SEE things and people in action, as opposed to just reading about it. Ask yourself, “How can I SHOW my followers what my brand is all about, and the value that I bring to the table this week?” We want to SEE your value, see you in action, and see how your work positively impacts the lives of others. So show us! Don’t tell us!
