Another Friday Fast 5 coming your way.?
Have you ever struggled to know how to lead your team? Or maybe you aren’t sure whether you could be doing a better job?
- Own the day. Whether you are up by 5am, 7am, or even 9am, make sure you start your day off right, so that you can own the rest of your day. No snooze. Make the bed, get some fresh air, and ease your way into the day to allow you to feel in flow.?
- Prioritise yourself. Sometimes you need to prioritise what isn’t urgent. We can always find the time in the day for something that has a deadline. Yet what about the things that we know are good for us, but aren’t so urgent? These are often the activities that will help you grow — not just as a human doing, but as a human being.?
- Find inspiration. The best ideas come when you least expect them. Instead of staring at a blank page, find inspiration by working out at the beach, visiting an art gallery, or taking an evening walk, to give your brain more space to think. By scheduling more “white space” into your day, you can unlock your creative potential.?
- Focus on your future vision. Design your current behaviours and routines to match the future vision of yourself. Think about what you want to achieve in 2 -5 years (what type of person would you need to be, to have that life / success?) and start implementing the habits future-you would have. This idea was inspired by the book Atomic Habits.?
- Make one small change. Remember that you don’t always need to make massive changes to make a difference. Rather than trying to go from A to Z, which can be difficult and unsustainable, incremental steps also stay with you well after a challenge is over. So what is one small change that you could make to improve yourself today?
Keep an eye out for another fast 5 next week!
