5 Ways Shipt Made the Most of May
April showers gave way to May joy. Maybe it’s just us, but we’ve been in a sunny mood this spring. There’s a lot to look forward to as the last of winter thaws. At Shipt, we poured this positivity into our community. We volunteered for Earth Day, donated for Mother’s Day, and acknowledged wins across the board. We even asked you what your email sign-off is (spoiler alert: 70% of you said it’s a classic “Thank you!”)
From Mother’s Day to AAPI Month, let’s look back on May at Shipt.
1. Shipt Serves for Earth Day
Shipt team members grew green thumbs this Earth Day as we volunteered in the Bush Hills and Tuxedo neighborhoods of Birmingham. Birmingham City Councilor Carol Clarke (D8) also stopped by to lend a helping hand and greet volunteers. That’s what we call caring!
2. Shipt Teams Up with Kristen Bell for Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day had some extra heart this year. In honor of moms everywhere (like actress, author, and Shipt fan Kristen Bell) we donated funds to Baby 2 Baby that helped provide nearly one million diapers to families in need. Read more on our Newsroom here.

3. Meet Jess D., Shopper of the Month
Shipt Shoppers make the world go ‘round. Take it from our customers: shoppers like Jess D. are “exceptional in every way.” We couldn’t do it without detail-oriented, driven shoppers like Jess—that’s why we ask members and shoppers to nominate those going above and beyond in their community every month. Congratulations to Jess for being May’s Shopper of the Month!
4. Celebrating AAPI Month: Shipt’s got the S.A.U.C.E.
Our community amazes us every day with their authenticity. Especially our employee resource groups like S.A.U.C.E. Serving our Asian American and Pacific Islander team members, “Shipt AAPI Unity Community Engagement” is a place for employees to honor their unique cultures. Pictured above celebrating Holi with tie-dye, S.A.U.C.E. also showed up for AAPI Month with events like movie night, live cooking demos, and lectures from artists like Michelle Zauner (pop artist Japanese Breakfast.)
5. Growth Marketing and Ditching Perfectionism with VP of Growth Marketing, Deepta D.
It takes critical thinking, creativity, and a little bit of cucumber mint sparkling water to drive growth, according to team member Deepta D. If you’re hungry for motivation and advice from a seasoned growth marketer, check out our recent interview with our Vice President of Growth Marketing.
