5 ways to reuse your Instagram content on LinkedIn

So you *just* about got to grips with your Instagram content when they decided to drop a new update every. damn. week.

And now you’re hearing all those “maybe we should master LinkedIn instead?” comments.

Which social media platforms to use and how many you should be on is not a question you wanted to be answering when you decided to start your business.

You’ve got a squillion and one other things to be balancing, so ? let us save you the headache?

It’s time to REPURPOSE!

Why create new content for multiple platforms when you already have *so much* to share?!?

Repurposing your already posted content is better than you think! Every platform is different and you should be able to pick up on different aspects of the platforms. But we know it can be tricky.?

We’ve prepared 5 quick & easy tips to reuse your Instagram content on LinkedIn. It’s easier than you think! ?

1. Use high-value carousels

If you post any carousel posts or informative posts with bullet points on Instagram, feel free to use them on LinkedIn too! LinkedIn is all about knowledge and opinion sharing, so carousels are a great source of content to reuse & repurpose.

On LinkedIn, users can see only the first line of the post, before they decide to move on to read the entire post. So be sure to make it catchy and don’t forget to include a strong CTA for your users to engage in the comment section.

2. Research LinkedIn hashtags

Instagram and LinkedIn are different… but not by a vast amount. Just make sure to check that your Instagram hashtags are also on LinkedIn too. LinkedIn users tend to make more use of the “follow hashtag” feature than the majority of Instagram users, so increase your reach rate through engaging hashtags!?

3. Adapt your brand voice *slightly* to make sense for this more corporate platform

Don’t overthink it too much. You already have amazing content from Instagram that is just waiting to be reused on Instagram. It’s like an older dress waiting for you in the cupboard! It just needs some final tweaks and you’re ready to go.?

Yes, LinkedIn is a more professional platform than Instagram, so you might need to adjust your approach slightly. But don’t compromise your authentic voice and identity for the sake of “corporate-ising” it. You can still be real, raw and have fun with it!

4. Utilize LinkedIn tools

LinkedIn allows you to do much more than just post and reply to comments. You can add pdf, documents (multiple graphics shown page by page), 1 graphic or multiple graphics (shown similarly to Instagram carousel posts), and even videos! LinkedIn (unlike Instagram) also lets you add hyperlinks.?

It’s also a great place to practice short, snappy content because on LinkedIn, your post can reach only 1300 characters, not 2200 like on Instagram!

5. Turn graphics into the bullet point posts

Even though you can share visuals on LinkedIn, it’s also great to turn your visual Instagram posts into written posts with a bullet point list.?

Don’t be afraid to experiment with your content. Follow your intuition and analyse the data of each post to figure out what works best for your LinkedIn audience. It will take a bit of time to get the hang of, but it won’t be long before you’re repurposing like a pro & a master of MULTIPLE platforms.
