Achieving our goals and dreams is exciting. Many of us have worked so hard in this time of crisis to get to where we are. We have invested, created, innovated and dreamed of a time where life would be easy and happy. There has always been a fear of failing, but today with all the world turned upside down, we all need a bit of a push to keep going. Somedays it is difficult just getting out of bed. You cannot quit. You are too close to your dreams. Change is coming. The strong will survive. This is The Big Humble. This is The Big Equalizer.
We all want to impact others, change lives, and be remembered for leaving the world a better place then when we got here. Don't settle for dreaming of a better yesterday. Don't live in the past. Make choices today that will ignite tomorrow. Believe you have plenty of time. Perfom today. There will never be another day like today.
What you may not know about me:
I am known for job help, advice, and placing people who stay and get promoted in amazing companies. Many know of my exotic travels to Thailand, South Africa, Myanmar, Guatemala, Estonia, and fun side of my life in Boca and NYC. As many lives are changing in this economy, I would also share my other sides. In an attempt to become authentic, connect, and show many that it will be ok, I would like to share a few things you may not know:
I have been through divorce, dating, getting fired, getting dumped, started many businesses, some failed. I have trusted, and lost trust. I have written a documentary, and a big screen movie. I have been rejected many times from jobs, and projects, and getting my movie done. I have tried to change laws and impact change for education and rail safety. I have had a business partner who was not ethical, tried to steal, and another who did. I have been in a major train accident and physical therapies, and could not work, I have lost all and come back. I went bald, as the back of my hair fell out from trauma of hitting my head against the train at 106 mph. I wore a hair piece. I broke my shoulder blade, which only 1% of the world have done, as it is a strong bone. I was thrown that hard, yes neck and back injuries. I have had to move in with mom, and back to the top. I have seen friends come and go. I have seen many run away when I needed them at the bottom. I have PTSD. I lost my dad to double lung transplant. I have had 3 near death experiences, yet still here. I have been extremely lucky and travelled the world, spoken in many countries, written many books, have amazing mentors, and I have had my heart, business, and bank account in many forms in this lifetime. I am a single mom. I have 2 amazing daughters. I am a survivor. I understand we have no one to rely on but ourselves. No excuses. This is a crisis. Many great businesses are built and created in times of crisis. Begin today. (Please "Follow Me" for more job tips and advice, and reach out. I do want to hear from you and help.)
- Set Goals For Today. Celebrate the baby wins. Focus at the end of the day on what you did do, and what you accomplished. You are important. Make time.
- Focus. Use your experiences today to guide you. Are you distracted by social media? Delete the app. Unless it is making you money with sponsorships, you may not need it as much as you think you do. Are you living a healthy lifestyle? Find time to exercise. Are you sleeping too much or too little? Let's try to find a balance. You matter. Goals cannot be accomplished if you do not have a clear mind, and a healthy body. Quiet your mind. Tell yourself you have plenty of time. Shift your focus when you find yourself getting distracted. No excuses this time. If kids are your distraction, your new work hours are 3-6 am as well. You can do this.
- Do Not Focus On The Past Failures. Fail, and move forward. Facts are power. Gather all your facts, and come up with short and long -range goals. You will never gather all the facts or have all the facts you need, so let that part go. Don't be jealous or judge others. You do not know their back story. Don't let fear guide you. Failure takes you much closer to your next win. Let Go and Upgrade. Partner with the best and the positive people who believe in you. Follow people who inspire you.
- Forgive Yourself And Others. No one is perfect, and mistakes happen. Bosses are not always correct, so do not let their opinions define you. If they do not support you, it may be time for a change. Perhaps you look or start on your own. Getting fired in this economy is tough, but do not let it wear on your ego. Much is out of your control. Define the terms of wants versus needs. What is it that you need or want? Are you willing to settle? What will make you happy? Will there ever be enough? You are enough. You are special and here for a reason. Life decided you needed a change. Embrace the change. Let the good energy drive you.
- Breathe. Not every question needs an answer. Somedays you will not have all the answers. Book downtime, to dream and innovate. Somedays not acting, is the correct action. Don't act on a decision everyday. Sleep on it. Our emotions are running high.
