You’re ready to scale, but those sneaky bottlenecks say otherwise.
Here’s how to identify and address bottlenecks that may be holding you back:
1) Review Repetitive Tasks: What’s taking up too much time?
Start by tracking time spent on tasks to pinpoint inefficiencies.
2) Listen to Your Team: Your team members are often the first to notice what’s not working.
Here, it’s helpful to have an open line of communication built into your company culture so they feel safe enough to share.
3) Analyze Your Metrics: Dig into your KPIs to find patterns that signal bottlenecks. Ex. Are projects consistently going overtime? Are you closing too slowly? Etc.
4) Prioritize Automation: If there’s a task that technology can do faster and more accurately, why not let it? Automating key processes frees up time and reduces human error.
5) Start Small: You don’t need to overhaul everything overnight. Focus on one bottleneck at a time.
For example, one of my clients struggled with keeping up with projects & communication with different departments of her organization.
Important updates were getting lost in a sea of emails.
We implemented a simple project management tool that was similar to products she has used before, redefined leadership roles, and streamlined communication—saving her hours each week and fewer 1-1 calls were needed.
As we head into 2025, leaders who tackle bottlenecks head-on will have a clear advantage in scaling.
So, what do you think is holding your company back? Let’s discuss how we can clear the path for sustainable growth.

2 个月Most of the time, the bottleneck is the CEO's fear of losing control or not trusting their staff to do the work without their approval or not having a process that do not include the CEO. As a Fractional COO who is a therapist, I focus on the well-being and mental blocks of the CEO. Most of the time, when I get their fears, anxiety, imposter syndrome or relational trauma cleared up, they can allow the change for their business to scale.
