5 Ways Hypnosis Can Help with?Sleep - #Hypnosis is a therapeutic technique that can help people with a range of medical conditions, including insomnia and other #sleeping problems. When I work with clients in a tailored way, hypnosis can focus a client’s attention in a way that allows them to receive suggestions that can positively change their thoughts and behavior.
Here are five ways hypnosis helps you with sleep:
1. Relaxation: During hypnosis, you experience a state of deep relaxation, focused attention, and increased suggestibility. This can help reduce your arousal and promote relaxation, making it easier to fall asleep. In a one to one, I get your conscious brain to focus on one thing and your subconscious to focus on the sound of my voice.
2. Addressing Negative Thoughts or Habits: Hypnosis can help change negative thoughts or habits related to sleep so that a person can sleep better once hypnotherapy is complete. By addressing negative thoughts or habits, hypnosis can help people fall asleep more easily and stay asleep longer. I also recommend that client use my sleep meditations ongoing to form a new habit before bedtime or naps.
3. Treating Sleep Disorders: If you’ve been experiencing insomnia, hypnosis can be used to help you relax, fall asleep, and stay asleep. It can be thought of as a more powerful guided meditation, carefully designed for improving sleep. Treating sleep difficulties with hypnosis has been well researched, and the evidence base about the benefits of incorporating self-hypnosis into your nighttime routine is growing. This is a common issue faced by many more clients than before so you are not alone and don’t be shy to seek assistance.
4. Promoting?Deep Sleep: A 2014 study found that hypnosis increased slow-wave sleep (deep, healing sleep) by as much as 80 percent in some sleepers. Hypnosis can help people sleep more quickly and experience deeper and more restful sleep. One of the reasons hypnosis may help improve sleep is that it helps to quiet the mind and relax the body. I also use music with many of the meditations on my channel and this also promotes deeper relaxation and soothes the subconscious.
5. Reducing Anxiety and Depression: Hypnotherapy may reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, both of which are strongly correlated with sleeping problems. I’ve been using this technique for over 24 years, for addressing a wide range of issues, including smoking cessation, anxiety, and weight loss. By reducing anxiety and depression, hypnosis can help people feel more relaxed and at ease, making it easier to fall asleep. It sounds overcomplicated but once you re-train your brain into these new habits (using my channel meditations and hypnotic visualizations for example)
Hypnosis is a growing popular treatment, and the existing research suggests that hypnosis can be an effective way to overcome insomnia and get the rest you need. If you're interested in trying hypnosis for sleep, it's important to work with a qualified hypnotherapist like myself who can tailor the treatment to your specific needs and sleep patterns or issues.
