What is User-Centered Design / User-generated Design / Participatory Design?
User-centered design, also known as participatory design, is a design approach that involves involving end-users in the design process for software products. This can include gathering feedback and input from users during the design process, as well as involving them in user testing and usability evaluations. The goal of user-generated design is to create software products that are tailored to the needs and preferences of the target users, resulting in higher user satisfaction and adoption rates.
To understand the target users' needs for software design, several methods can be used:
Once the user's needs are understood, designers can then use that information to create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that are tailored to the target users' needs. Iteratively testing and gathering feedback on these designs can help ensure that the final product is as effective and user-friendly as possible.
