5 Ways to Build an Accommodating Workplace Culture for Trauma Survivors

In today's marketplace we've come to understand the financial rewards of designing and implementing happy and healthy workplace cultures. When we show our team members our loyalty and devotion to their well-being, they respond with loyalty in kind.

In this week's blog we address some of the ways we can improve the productivity of team members that are struggling with surviving a trauma. When employees are struggling with their mental health they also worry that you will see them as being too much trouble to keep on the team.

If they broke their leg you would modify their work flow and/or work environment to accommodate their injury. Emotional injuries are harder to recognize and usually present with a decrease in socialization and productivity.

We can address the associated issues stemming from their emotional injury from a couple of angles.

You can address the specific issues with the employee and provide them with tailored options to re-position them for success; becoming their companion in recovery.
