5 Ways of Adaptibility

Since joining the Bangkit program, I’ve encountered many people from different ages, regions, and backgrounds. Here’s how this journey has shaped me:

Ways of Interacting

Initially, I was quite reserved, often waiting to be asked before speaking. However, the Bangkit environment encouraged me to break out of my shell. I learned to initiate conversations with others, overcoming language barriers and embracing diverse communication preferences. Whether online or offline, the welcoming atmosphere allowed me to engage with different personalities freely. I discovered the importance of expressing my thoughts without fear of being judged.

Ways of Achieving

Having a clear sense of purpose became essential for me. Before joining Bangkit, I had goals, but this program helped me refine them. Surrounded by supportive peers and positive group norms, I felt encouraged to pursue my ambitions. The ILT soft skills training further guided me, reinforcing my commitment to achieving my goals.

Ways of Learning

My desire for knowledge led me to seek connections with mentors and engage in projects that aligned with my interests. I actively participated in events and joined professional communities, which broadened my understanding of the IT field. This proactive approach to learning allowed me to identify my strengths and tailor my learning style for better outcomes.

Ways of Working

Working on various activities presented challenges, especially regarding discipline and time management. Before Bangkit, I struggled with organization, often fluctuating between productivity and laziness. The experience of collaborating with others in different office layouts and company cultures was eye-opening. However, as I drew motivation from my peers’ enthusiasm, I learned to manage my time effectively, resulting in a more disciplined work ethic.

Ways of Thinking

Bangkit profoundly changed my way of thinking. I learned to be more open to new ideas and see problems from different perspectives. Each ILT session pushed me to keep learning and growing, showing me that my potential is limitless. I started viewing challenges and mistakes as opportunities rather than setbacks, fostering creativity and innovation in problem-solving. Additionally, interacting with diverse individuals taught me to appreciate different ways of thinking, helping me adopt a growth mindset.

Looking back on my journey in Bangkit, I am grateful for the growth I’ve experienced.
