Hello Everyone,
I'm Ariel Yordan Tjahyadinata from CC-33. I would like to share 5 Ways of Adaptability that I learned from Bangkit. They really help us understand how to become adaptable individuals in any situation.
1. Ways of Interacting
Since joining Bangkit, I've met many new people from different universities and cities. This session taught us that interaction is a key method for adapting to a new environment. For instance, at Bangkit, I have to converse with people I’ve just met. I push myself to collaborate online with others, sharing ideas to create even better concepts through interaction.
2. Ways of Achieving
In Bangkit, each member has goals that must be reached. For example, I need to complete all courses on Dicoding and Google Cloud Skill Boost (GCSB). Each member also has to finish the ILT Sessions to earn certifications as proof of task and course completion. Beyond finishing the courses, we apply our knowledge to real-life scenarios, such as in the capstone project.
3. Ways of Learning
Learning is essential for adapting to new challenges or environments. In Bangkit, I need to adapt to a busy schedule and numerous materials. During the ILT sessions on Time and Energy Management, I learned how to adjust to the pace of the Bangkit schedule. Moreover, since English is the primary language used, I’ve also learned how to express myself more fluently in English.
4. Ways of Working
Every environment has a unique culture, and adapting to it helps us work well with others. Being adaptable allows for better collaboration. At Bangkit, I work as part of a team with new people from different cities, and Bangkit teaches us how to collaborate effectively. This experience prepares us for the expectations in professional work environments.
5. Ways of Thinking
In Bangkit’s ILT sessions, we learned about fixed and growth mindsets. To grow, we must avoid a fixed mindset that limits us. By adopting a growth mindset, we can improve in every area of life and handle challenges better.
Bangkit has been an incredible experience, as it teaches not only hard skills but also valuable soft skills. Bangkit has truly made an impact on me, and I'm proud to be a part of it!
