5 Ways of Adaptability When I Participating in Bangkit Academy 2023 ?????

In August 2023, I embarked on new journey at Bangkit Academy 2023 Batch 2 guided by Google, GoTo, and Traveloka. This program has greatly helped me improve my knowledge, hard skill, and soft skill. One of lesson taught me is importance of being adaptive person. In this article, I will share my story of how I applied principle of adaptability during my time at Bangkit Academy by implementing 5 ways of adaptability.

1. Ways of Interacting ??

Initially, I was shy and nervous talking with other Bangkit participants. It was new environment for me. But I remembered why I joined Bangkit - to step out my comfort zone and enhance personal growth. So, I gathered my courage and started express my thoughts during ILT sessions, discussing challenges with mentors, and connecting with diverse participants on Bangkit Discord channel. I even met up with fellow participant who live in same area and now we've became teammates for our capstone project ????.

2. Ways of Achieving ??

In the beginning, I struggled to keep up with learning process and achieve first-month milestones. It was different from my previous academic experience. But I didn't give up. I set daily goals, managed my time efficiently, created comfortable study environment, and made sure not to miss any mandatory session ??.

3. Ways of Learning ??

In cloud computing learning path, there are three learning platform: Dicoding, Coursera, and GCSB. At first, switching between these platforms was challenging. I diligently followed guidelines in cohort guide. Over time, I adapted with these platform and developed efficient learning practices. When I faced unfamiliar words in course materials, I used Chrome extension to efficiently translate them to Indonesian. If I didn't understand something during ILT session, I asked question to gain deeper understanding. When I struggled with video explanations, I discussed them with other participants on Bangkit Discord channel ??.

4. Ways of Working ??

I managed my time using Google Apps Productivity tools, like Google Calendar. I used four-time quadrant system to prioritize urgent tasks, follow my schedule, and drop less valuable activities. For learning, I applied Pomodoro technique with short breaks between study session. I also used Google Notes to save key points from course materials to help me remember what I learned ??.

5. Ways of Thinking ??

Learning at Bangkit wasn't easy, and language barrier was significant challenge. I often felt discouraged. However, I didn't give up, because I found inspiration in Naruto story, which reignited my spirit to complete this program. Additionally, thanks to ILT session, I've become better handling criticism without taking it personally, seek solutions from different perspectives, and adapt to new environment more efficiently ??.
