5 Ways of Adaptability

5 Ways of Adaptability

Adaptability is the ability to learn flexibly and efficiently to apply that knowledge in various situations. As Charles Darwin said - “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is one of the easiest to adapt to change.”?

Of course, this will be a bit of a struggle for some people including myself, but the need for high adaptability is needed to face a rapidly changing world. As an IT student who is part of a generation that will face post-pandemic workforce changes, of course, it is very important to always keep abreast of the latest technological developments.?

On this occasion, I will share 5 ways of adaptation that I have applied while participating in the Rise 2023 program for the last 2 months.

?1.?????Way of?Interacting

By participating in the Bangkit program, each student is encouraged to interact with each other, where every week there are ILT sessions and Weekly Consultation to discuss both with the facilitator and with the mentor himself, then there is the Bangkit Discord group to get to know each other Bangkit participants.

?2.?????Way of Achieving

At Bangkit, participants who have the spirit of achievement will be highly appreciated. This is proven by the opportunity to become one of the top 15 teams to get incubation funding from the capstone project. Bangkit also really appreciates the participants who are proactive in each class and complete the assignments given according to the specified deadline by earning points that can be exchanged for merchandise at a later date. And at the end of the agenda, the participants will have the opportunity to get a global certificate according to their respective learning paths.

?3.?????Way of Learning

Becoming a part of Bangkit 2023, I gained many new things and insights, one of which is in the Adaptability and Resilience soft skills. With the various courses available and limited study hours, I needed to adapt quickly, be flexible and dedicate more time to studying the courses that Bangkit has provided.

?4.?????Way of Working

With 917 learning hours and 8 hours every Monday - Saturday, of course, this is not a short amount of time, therefore it is necessary to manage time and divide it into four time management quadrants, namely do it now, schedule, delegate, and drop it. To make work easier, you can use Google Calendar, Google Classroom, and other platforms.

?5.?????Way of Thinking

Bangkit encourages each of its participants to leave the Fixed Mindset and have a Growth Mindset as a habit to cultivate critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making skills, and so on.

Thanks for sharing your insight! ??
