5 Ways of Adaptability

To survive in any uncertain situation, we need to apply our willingness to adapt. Just like a chameleon, we can fit in wherever we are, that’s what makes us adaptable.
"Adaptability is being able to adjust to any situation at any given time" - John Wooden
There are five ways to do this, called “5 Ways of Adaptability”, which are ways of interacting, thinking, learning, achieving, and working, I’ve experienced that as a Bangkit Academy Cohort.
Ways of Interacting
At Bangkit Academy 2023 Batch 2 Program, there are over 4.500 participants from 395 universities. Come from 34 provinces of Indonesia, we bring our unique backgrounds, experiences, and different perspectives. While interacting with other Cohorts, Mentors, also Instructors, I learned a lot of things from listening to their perspectives, providing constructive feedback, expressing opinions, and discussing some topics through Discord Channel.
Ways of Achieving
As a Bangkit Academy Cohort, there's a milestone that we must complete. The way I achieve this goal is by staying consistent with 40+ hours of course activities per week to stay ahead of schedule. I also prioritize the urgent and important tasks first, then eliminate the less urgent and not important things to do this without procrastination.
Ways of Learning
Learning is essential in our life. At Bangkit Academy, I can learn together through ILT Tech, Soft Skill, and English Classes. I also had the opportunity to self-paced learning through online courses that Bangkit provided. This way allows me to more explore knowledge about tech expertise and soft skills that I can apply in the workplace.

Ways of Working
In this program, we collaborate together, working as a team from different learning path to complete our project. The way I adapt to working closely is by using collaborative tools like GitHub. Always brainstorm solutions together, also allocate roles and responsibilities.
Ways of Thinking
Through Bangkit program I've learned about critical thinking and problem solving. It's improved my skills in finding solutions for both personal and professional life. Sometimes, I can feel overwhelmed, but I always remind myself of the growth mindset principles, seeing these challenges as stepping stones to improvement.
That's my 5 Ways of Adaptability experience. I hope you all can apply these five ways wherever you are, embrace the power of adaptability to thrive in the face of new environments.
