Adaptability has been a key part of my journey in Bangkit Academy led by Google, Tokopedia, Gojek, & Traveloka . It wasn’t just about learning new skills but also adjusting how I interact, achieve, learn, work, and think. Throughout my experiences, I faced challenges that required me to adapt in each area, helping me grow personally and professionally. Here’s how I adapted in Bangkit.
Ways of Interacting
At the beginning of Bangkit, I realized I needed to adapt my communication to work with diverse peers. I improved by clarifying technical issues during consultations and practicing active listening in ILT sessions. These changes made discussions more meaningful and productive, strengthening my collaboration skills throughout the journey.
Ways of Achieving
To achieve my goals, I adapted by changing my approach. Rather than tackling large tasks all at once, I broke them into smaller, manageable steps. I set daily objectives to stay on track with my Dicoding modules and Google Cloud Skill Boost course. This shift in strategy kept me motivated and allowed me to celebrate progress with each milestone, ensuring steady progress throughout the process.
Ways of Learning
The fast pace of the program pushed me to adapt by becoming more proactive in my learning. In addition to completing the Dicoding modules, I sought extra resources and focused on hands on practice. This shift toward active learning made the material more engaging and practical, allowing me to better understand and apply what I was learning.
Ways of Working
Working remotely challenged me to manage tasks while coordinating with peers across time zones. I adapted by improving my time management, prioritizing tasks, and setting deadlines. Regular meetings on Google Meet and updates via Discord kept us aligned. Flexibility was essential as I adjusted my schedule to meet deadlines and collaborate smoothly with my peers.
Ways of Thinking
A major shift I experienced was in my mindset. At first, I saw mistakes as failures, but over time, I adapted by viewing them as opportunities for growth. With support from mentors and peers, I embraced a growth mindset, seeing challenges as part of the learning process. This shift helped me stay resilient and keep improving.
These adaptability skills have been essential for my success in Bangkit, and I know they will continue to help me tackle challenges in the future. I'm excited to use these skills beyond my journey
