5 Ways Of Adaptability

Joining the Bangkit led by Google, Goto, and Traveloka program was a transformative experience that pushed my adaptability in five key areas: interacting, achieving, learning, working, and thinking. Here’s how I adapted in each of these aspects:
1. Adapting in the Way I Interact
Before Bangkit Academy, I was used to working solo, but the program emphasized the power of collaboration. Whether it was in discussions or group projects, I learned to listen actively, offer constructive feedback, and appreciate diverse perspectives. This shift helped me become more open and adaptive in communicating within a team of people from different backgrounds.
2. Adapting in the Way I Achieve Goals
Bangkit Academy taught me the importance of setting clear, realistic goals both in the short and long term. Previously, I tended to focus on the end result without a structured process. In Bangkit Academy, I learned to break down large objectives into smaller, manageable tasks and track daily progress. This approach helped me stay focused and avoid feeling overwhelmed by the workload.
3. Adapting in the Way I Learn
The learning style in Bangkit Academy was quite different from what I was used to. With a blend of self-paced online learning and challenging coding tasks, I had to develop effective time management and study strategies. I became more proactive in seeking out additional learning resources, whether it was through technical documentation or community discussions, to ensure I understood the material deeply.
4. Adapting in the Way I Work
One of the biggest challenges was adjusting to the fast-paced working environment. With tight deadlines and complex projects, I had to learn how to prioritize tasks, collaborate efficiently with my team, and complete assignments on time. I also became proficient in using tools like Trello and GitHub to streamline coordination and track progress effectively.
5. Adapting in the Way I Think
Bangkit Academy pushed me to step out of my comfort zone, especially in critical thinking and problem-solving. When faced with coding challenges, I stopped viewing problems from a single angle. Instead, I began analyzing them comprehensively, exploring multiple solutions, and testing different approaches before settling on the best one.
Overall, this experience taught me the value of flexibility and the importance of staying prepared to adapt in an ever-evolving technological landscape. The adaptability I developed during Bangkit Academy has not only made me a better developer but also prepared me for future challenges in the dynamic professional world.
