5 Ways of Adaptability

One month at Bangkit Academy has already provided me with tremendous experiences. Many aspects of my routine have changed, and I’ve had to quickly adapt to the environment. There are five key ways of adaptability that I apply to keep up with the pace at Bangkit Academy:

1. Ways of Interacting

The communication style at Bangkit has been a significant learning experience. We are required to communicate in English, even though our mother tongue is Bahasa Indonesia. Learning and using English is crucial because we are not only part of Indonesian society but also a global one. By seizing the opportunity to improve my English at Bangkit, I believe I will be better prepared to contribute to the global community in the future.

2. Ways of Achieving

At Bangkit, I’ve learned the importance of setting personal goals. Each goal has its own path to success, and I’ve developed a strategy to balance productivity with relaxation. By integrating both, I can enjoy the process while working towards multiple targets during the program. This balance helps me stay motivated and, hopefully, achieve positive outcomes by the end of the academy.

3. Ways of Learning

As a student at Bangkit, I’ve had to adapt to the self-paced learning model. We are responsible for setting our own goals and progressing through the material provided. While this flexibility allows us to learn at our own convenience, it also demands a strong sense of responsibility to ensure we meet our learning milestones. It requires discipline to manage time effectively and make continuous progress.

4. Ways of Working

In the Machine Learning track at Bangkit, we primarily use Coursera as our learning platform. Google Calendar serves as a tool to organize and track our study schedule, ensuring we stay on track to meet the academy’s timeline. This systematic approach helps manage work and prevents us from falling behind, keeping our progress aligned with program deadlines.

5. Ways of Thinking

Machine learning is both complex and fascinating to me. It requires a critical mindset, especially when working with datasets to optimize model performance. Learning this field has not only challenged my problem-solving skills but has also expanded the way I think, encouraging me to approach problems with a more analytical and thoughtful perspective.
