5 Ways of Adaptability

Bangkit Program is a program that I have dreamed of since the beginning of college. In fact, I already participated in Bangkit in 2023H2. After being declared qualified for Bangkit 2024H2, I felt inferior because many of my friends came from state universities while I came from a private university. Therefore, I will apply my 5 ways of adapting to overcome my fear of the unknown.

  • Ways of Interacting

When I participated in the Bangkit 2024H2 program, I met a diverse group of individuals from various backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. Adjusting the way I interact is very important. Initially, I may have felt insecure about communicating because many friends came from prestigious universities, but adapting means being open to different communication styles, listening actively, and accepting a wealth of diverse perspectives.

  • Ways of Achieving

I have set my goals and achievements since I joined the Bangkit Academy program. I want to be an excellent graduate, earn high achievement points, and obtain global certification. To achieve this, I had to learn to be flexible, adapting to changing schedules. I also needed to learn to manage my time effectively and prioritize my tasks. Additionally, I had to follow the regulations in the program in order to graduate with distinction.

  • Ways of Learning

In the Bangkit 2024H2 program, the learning approach is very different from campus. The ability to adapt is clearly visible in the way of learning. The program's curriculum and technology are evolving rapidly. Adapting to these changes means staying updated with the latest developments in cloud computing, machine learning, and mobile development, as well as implementing new learning methods and resources. I must be open to unlearning and relearning concepts, exploring various educational tools, and seeking feedback from mentors and peers to continually improve my learning process.

  • Ways of Working

I feel the need to be flexible in my work approach, especially when collaborating with other students who have different work styles and preferences. I had to adapt to agile methodologies, iterative development, and regular team meetings, ensuring that my contributions were aligned with team goals and project timelines. Adapting to this new way of working is critical to project success and overall productivity.

  • Ways of Thinking

The Bangkit Academy program has provided ILT soft skills sessions. There are many soft skills that students can hone from these sessions. In the Bangkit Academy program, I have applied a growth mindset that can make it easier for us to achieve our goals. I need to adjust my thought process to view problems as solvable and approach them with creativity and innovation. This shift in mindset not only helped me overcome complex technical challenges but also fostered personal and professional growth.
