My journey at Bangkit Academy led by Google, Tokopedia, Gojek, & Traveloka has been an evolution of both technical and interpersonal skills. I learned that adaptability is essential in five main areas: how we connect with others, achieve our goals, approach learning, adapt our work processes, and shift our mindset. Here are the five ways I embraced change during my experience at Bangkit:

?? Ways of Interacting:

Effective communication was key. Navigating platforms like Discord, Google Classroom, and Gmail was essential. Overcoming the language barrier, as English is mandatory, I relied on translation tools to understand messages before responding. This improved my language skills and boosted my confidence. Additionally, I expanded my LinkedIn network, connecting with mentors and peers, honing my technical and interpersonal skills. ????

?? Ways of Achieving:

In Bangkit, we faced ambitious monthly milestones filled with high-reaching goals. Meeting these required focus and consistency while tackling quizzes, assignments, and exams with minimum passing scores. For Mobile Development, each Dicoding module demanded applying theoretical knowledge to develop functional Android applications. This taught me valuable lessons in time management and perseverance, refining my approach to achieving goals. ????

?? Ways of Learning:

Self-directed learning is fundamental in Bangkit, with a recommended study time of 8 hours per day. Learning occurs on the Dicoding platform, where each module includes comprehensive materials and quizzes. At the end of each chapter, we apply our knowledge through submissions, often building Android apps. This hands-on approach fosters practical skills and reinforces that continuous learning is essential for growth. ????

?? Ways of Working:

My understanding of teamwork deepened, especially during the Capstone project, which integrated three learning paths—Mobile Development, Cloud Computing, and Machine Learning. Working with peers from diverse regions, we formed teams by sharing our LinkedIn and GitHub profiles. This highlighted the importance of cross-functional teamwork, enhancing my technical abilities and capacity to lead projects. ?????

My ability to navigate challenges was shaped by the ILT Soft Skills sessions. The “Growth Mindset and The Power of Feedback” session emphasized embracing challenges and constructive criticism. The “Time and Energy Management” session taught me to optimize my resources, while “Thriving Under Pressure” provided tools for maintaining focus during high-pressure situations. These insights fostered a holistic way of thinking, allowing me to thrive both individually and as part of a team. ????
