5 Ways of Adaptability
Giovanka Steviano Harry P.
Undergraduate Informatics Student at Duta Wacana Christian University | Bangkit Academy 2024 - Cloud Computing Cohort
During my time at Bangkit 2024 Batch 2, I am going to share my own five ways of adaptability that helped me improve my soft and hard skills, I listed my ways below.
Way of Interacting???
During my ILT and Weekly Consultation sessions, I’m not the type of person who loves to talk too much. However, I tried to communicate with my fellow learning group cohort as part of the bond and socialize. I also actively communicate in Discord’s general chat and Cloud Computing General, because I prefer to chat rather than talk to somebody. I'm happy to help them and it also boosts my confidence when I talk or speak using English.
Way of Achieving??
During my first month at Bangkit, I’m eager to conquer the first milestone. How can you achieve the first milestone? By doing all the ILT tasks, attending every mandatory event, reporting your progress to the Kampus Merdeka platform, and submitting your session’s feedback and mentor’s feedback every week during the milestone’s timeline. I did everything on time and without forgetting anything. The key is to be consistent, follow the Bangkit’s timeline and schedule every event, increase your productivity with Google Calendar, notion and list everything that you have to do every week, so you won’t forget the task.

Way of Learning??
Managing my time during the Bangkit Program was quite hard for me in the beginning, because I had to adjust my time balancing my duty as lecturer assistant and finishing the Google Cloud course. This affected my sleeping schedule, but I found it not to disrupt my learning progress. I managed my time well despite sacrificing my sleeping time in these fast-paced courses.
Way of Working??
Working during the Bangkit program was challenging because I had to adapt myself to this fast-paced and tight deadline with the Google Cloud courses. Thankfully I use my Google Calendar to help me schedule my time between Bangkit and College activity. I managed to adapt and stick to Bangkit’s timeline using time management techniques and make my learning schedules.
Way of Thinking??
Bangkit encouraged me to think critically and be a curious person by being an active cohort (Asking questions, etc). Bangkit also sharpened my soft skills with ILT Soft skills session, the session helped me to become more mature, have a growth mindset, be a person that always stays calm under pressure, and have great time management skills.
