5 Ways of Adaptability

Adaptability is a important skill as it is one of the ways we survive and develop. Adaptability isn't just about the ability to follow changes but also the capability to learn flexibly and efficiently and to apply it in various situations. There are five ways of adaptability, and in this topic, I will share my adaptibility experience during i joined Bangkit Academy.

Ways of Interacting

In Bangkit, I've learned to communicate with people of diverse ages, such as speaking with mentors, cohort friends, or instructors. Through the Discord platform, I’ve also had the opportunity to get to know other friends and engage with people from diverse backgrounds. I am very excited and happy with the diversity present, as it allows me to get to know and understand various people's characters.

Ways of Achieving

At Bangkit, I learned to appreciate and maximize the time we have, because Bangkit has strict rules regarding punctuality for events, as well as including punctuality in completing assigned tasks. This is what made me learn the importance of time management and prioritizing tasks.

Ways of Learning

I found the right community to grow in Bangkit. Through the Discord platform, I can exchange ideas, ask questions, and help fellow Bangkit friends facing difficulties. I was able to learn a lot of new things in both hard skills and soft skills because at Bangkit I was given great learning modules and the opportunity to work on project-based assignments, so my skills were really honed.

Ways of Working

Bangkit conducts online self-paced learning with provided modules and also synchronous online learning. The assignments given are quite intensive with short deadlines. To balance everything well, I always allocate 5-8 hours of my time each day to study the modules and complete the assignments. The tools provided by Bangkit also greatly assist me. All the activity schedules and assignment deadlines are well organized in Bangkit through Google Calendar, so I am greatly helped in managing my time.

Ways of Thinking

The environment is a significant factor influencing my mindset. In Bangkit, I am surrounded by supportive people who are eager to learn and grow, which directly influences my confidence and self-esteem to increase over time.
