5 Ways Of Adaptability
Farhan Abel Rantisi
Mobile Development Bangkit Academy 2024 Graduate | Undergraduate Informatics Engineering at Sriwijaya University
Joining the Bangkit 2024 program has been a journey full of challenges that requires adaptation in various aspects. Through this experience, I’ve learned not only technical skills but also effective ways to interact, achieve goals, learn, work, and think. Here is my experience of adapting in five ways throughout Bangkit 2024.
1. Way of Interacting
So far, an official team hasn’t been formed, but I have study partners with whom I discuss and go through courses on Dicoding together. We meet online only during Instructor Lead Tech (ILT), ILT Soft Skill, and weekly consultations with our group mentor. This setup has pushed me to adapt my communication skills, enabling me to interact effectively even with limited online meetings and time.
2. Way of Achieving
Bangkit taught me the importance of setting goals with clear steps. I started to get into the habit of creating small targets to complete courses and assignments. This approach helped me stay focused and keep moving forward, even without a complete team. I also strive to reach every milestone with the highest standards, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time.

3. Way of Learning
Although I am an Informatics student, my chosen learning path in Bangkit, Mobile Development, is a completely new field for me. This required me to adapt to entirely new materials and skills. I developed a more effective learning strategy, such as taking important notes, reviewing difficult concepts, and discussing with my study group. This adaptation has accelerated my understanding and enabled me to tackle complex materials more confidently.
4. Way of Working
In Bangkit, I learned to manage my time with discipline, as I needed to balance my college coursework, other activities, and Bangkit courses. I adopted the “Pomodoro” technique, which allows me to focus on work in set intervals, helping me maintain productivity and consistency. This approach made me more organized in completing Bangkit tasks while managing other responsibilities.
5. Way of Thinking
Bangkit has trained me to think more critically and creatively in solving problems, especially in mobile app development, which I am currently learning. When facing technical challenges or difficulties understanding new materials, I learned to view problems from multiple perspectives, explore innovative solutions, and seek support from mentors and group members. This process has also helped me consider the broader impact of technology on society.
