5 Ways To Achieve Your Goals

5 Ways To Achieve Your Goals

Happy FriYay!

Another Friday Fast 5 coming your way.?

This week I have been focusing on questions you should be asking your team in order to set them up for success each week. But what about you as an individual? How can you set yourself up for success each and every week??

  1. Own Your Morning! The best way to own the week and be productive is to start by owning your morning. Create a morning routine that best reflects the person you want to be, and stick to it. This will help you approach each day with a greater sense of clarity, space, and energy than if you were just rushing to get to work or get your day started. Make time to eat, meditate, or work out, whatever makes you feel good in the morning.?
  2. No Hitting Snooze. Did you know that hitting snooze is actually bad for you? While it may feel good to get lay in bed for an extra 5 minutes, it actually disrupts your sleep pattern and leaves you feeling worse after those 5 minutes than if you had just gotten up when you originally planned to. If you really are fighting about whether to hit snooze or not, follow this one rule. If you want to get more effective sleep then set a timer for 35 minutes to allow your body to complete one full sleep cycle, if you can’t leave this much time to rest then you will feel better if you get up immediately. Another great motivator is to have your alarm sitting across the other side of the room so that you have to walk to turn it off, AND automating your coffee machine to brew a fresh cup of coffee for the same time as your alarm!
  3. Do The Biggest Task First. Do you ever have those tasks in your day that feel heavy? The ones that sometimes you procrastinate on for days or weeks simply because they feel out of flow. I always prefer doing these tasks first and this is a known productivity hack sometimes referred to as Eating The Frog. Brian Tracy gave this hack life in his book “Eat That Frog” which you can find HERE .?
  4. Make It Your Space. When you are working at your desk add little details that lift your mood and make it your space. We often feel more motivated in spaces where we feel good. This could be by creating a work playlist, having a backdrop or customised internet browser that reminds you of something you love, bringing colour or scents into your space. Whatever helps you get in the zone, bring that into your workspace.?
  5. Plan Your Week. To stop yourself from stressing or forgetting things, plan your week in advance. Allocate run over time for tasks that may take a little longer, schedule in time for breaks as well. I have a training call my ideal week training that helps you not only plan out your weeks but also maximise your productivity so you can get more sh*t done, as well as allowing your more time for the hobbies and parts of life that you enjoy. To grab that training simply reply to this email with “IDEAL” and I will send you a copy of the training.?

Keep an eye out for another fast 5 next week!
