6 Uses for drones that will change the world
1) Personal transportation – With battery technology progressing and AI advancing it won’t be long before UBER (Or maybe SKYBER) is testing its first Drone pickup and drop off service. In 10 years it will be common to see people flying through the air in single seat drones.
2) Security – The revolution is coming in large site security, ( Ports, airports, industrial estates etc.) drone stations holding fleets of drones that will, in the future, patrol perimeter fences and alert when intruders are detected. AI will help these intelligent drones take the necessary action, including facial recognition and identifying whether they are armed.
3) Personal drone – Kind of already here but in 10 years time we’ll have our own personal drone flying alongside us taking photos and guiding us through the streets giving us tours of a famous cities.
4) Delivery – Already here (Almost) but in 10 years time it will be a common site to see the skies above our heads filled with drones delivering our orders from all good suppliers. That will change the nature of traffic on our roads. Could it be that in ten years’ time we will have forgotten what it feels like to be in a traffic jam.
5) Military – In ten years’ time the soldier will be close to obsolete. Instead replaced by the drone soldier. Conflict taking place in the air rather than on the ground. Consider as well that these soldier drone will be able to use the latest see in the dark technology which will mean that war won't stop at sun down. A combination of on board AI and superior armament will combine to offer humans an alternative to flesh and blood conflict.
6) Nano – Let me also introduce the concept of a nano drone, big is not always the best. Invisible to the human eye but packed with quantum technology that allows it to carry out surveillance and more.
