The 5 Trillion Economy : A public Policy Webseries

The central theme of the story is that How the Government devised a way to grant energy and other licences to their crony capitalists friends on a speculative goal of 5 trillion as existing laws did not permit licensing beyond a certain limit. This speculative 5 trillion was created to create consulting jobs to big 4 and employment opportunities to Svarnas and elite friends and relatives

  • Motive: To uphold justice and integrity in government operations, despite pressures to conform to corrupt practices.

Praveen Singh Sehgal


  • Background: A corporate tycoon with deep-rooted connections in politics, known for his strategic business expansions.
  • Motive: To expand his business empire using government policies, regardless of ethical implications.
  • Character Arc: Initially seen as a successful businessman, his actions reveal a more manipulative side, leading to potential downfall or public scrutiny.


Samir


  • Background: A young, ambitious consultant from a Big 4 firm, idealistic but naive about corporate politics.
  • Motive: To make a significant impact in the economic landscape, believing in the policy's potential for good.
  • Character Arc: Transforms from an optimistic participant to a critical insider, eventually choosing ethics over career advancement.


Niharika Pradhan
