5 Traits of Anaris / Amateurs

This week saw me travel again, again to the same mountain.

And must confess, it was more beautiful this time around!

Last week was a "workcation" where the whole family was travelling, and I was also conducting my work-related coaching calls and writing assignments. Last week's newsletter is also available on my LinkedIn profile as a LinkedIn newsletter - so if you missed that editionof the ACE weekly,?click here to check it out

But this last week, I was travelling stictly for business. Alhumdulillah.

The hotel was nicer than I expected (the client arranged a stay at the PC Bhurban, which is great place to "work" in, mashAllah).

And during the visit:

  • I also discovered one of the best espresso shots I have tasted! hahaha... those details are?here?if you're interested!
  • Finally at least got to swing some golf clubs at the Chinar?golf?club! :)
  • Working remotely requires a certain amount of equipment to be lugged around but once you pull that off, things can work quite smoothly, Alhumdulillah.

Frankly, in the above picture I am pretending to work in the room, whereas the 1-on-1 session was done out in nature! :)

5 Traits of Anaris (Amateurs)

The 5 Traits of Anaris / Amateurs include habits like multi-tasking, so if you think multi-tasking is a good thing (it's not!), do check out the video here.

In the video, you will inshAllah discover 5 things that you should not be doing (I am hoping you are not part of the Momekh family to become an amateur! haha)

  1. Anaris always try to do multitasking (the professional focuses on one task at a time)
  2. Amateurs tend to spend time to save money (the professional knows time is far more valuable, so they pay to save time whenever they can!)

To see the full 5 traits you really should be avoiding, check the video posted on LinkedIn as well (how on earth do you embed LinkedIn videos into a LinkedIn article!?? Anyone!?)

I pray that me and you become professionals in whatever we do. This comes from a simple pursuit of excellence, which is a great algorithm to live a life I truly believe that.

InshAllah till we meet again,

God bless,

M.
