- Active Listening: You must be able to Listen carefully to the needs and wants of your ideal prospect, Listening to prospects is the most basic selling skill a sales person has.
- Identifying Decision Makers: Too many sales people without developed selling skills spend time trying to close a deal with a prospect who in actuality is not empowered to make a buying decision. A top sales person will be able to identify if he/she is dealing with the appropriate individual, and will not be afraid to ask a prospect to put him or her in contact with the person or group responsible for a buying decision.
- Focusing on a few top prospects: Maintaining and building solid relationships between a few top prospects and contacting them frequently. I can tell you from experience it is more effective to have 4-5 clients at a time depending on the business that you are in and serving those 4-5 clients to the best of your abilities.
- Solving problems & Overcoming objections: As a consultant there are some serious objections to break through and speed bumps that get in your way through out the way, It is your job to cut through those obstacles and be able to see your way through it to see the bigger picture.
- Knowing how to close the sale: The last but one of the most IMPORTRANT skills out of them all is the ability to see the end vision of what you are seeking to accomplish, Gaining the Financial literacy and end result is a major deal in sales.
