Experts Live is a Microsoft community conference, connecting IT Professionals from all over the world during live events to learn and share the latest information about Microsoft Cloud-, Datacenter- and Workplace management solutions.

If you are working in IT with Microsoft technologies, I’m sure you must have heard about Experts Live before or even attended one of the conferences worldwide. Founded in 2009 in the Netherlands by Microsoft MVP & RD Maarten Goet, the conference almost exists 10 years and is now live in the IT world in different countries, on different continents.

1.      What are the different formats of Experts Live?

  Country events

Country events are focused on a single country. They are one-day conferences where sessions are mainly presented in the local language by local speakers. In addition to that, international, English-speaking presenters can complement the speaker lineup. Today there are Experts Live country events in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, India, Israel and Norway.  

Regional events

Regional events are Experts Live events that target attendees of a specific region. They are multiday conferences where all sessions are presented in English by local and international speakers. They are known as Experts Live Europe, United States, LATAM and APAC.  

  Café events

Café events are user group events that are focused on a specific topic presented in the local language by local speakers. They are multi-hour events in café-style where the speakers are the bar tenders! There are café events hosted in Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria and in Switzerland.  

2.      Who should attend Experts Live?

Experts Live is a technical conference for everyone passionate about Microsoft products and technologies.  4.      There is no Experts Live event in my country (yet), where should I go?  

Of course, this depends on the region you are based and the language(s) you speak, but I suggest you pack your bags and get ready for a trip! Whichever Experts Live event you decide to attend, it’s guaranteed you will (re)connect with fellow IT Professionals, meet many Microsoft MVPs and employees, build and strengthen professional connections, learn, have fun and even make new friends.  5.      Previously there was System Center Universe Europe, did the conference move away from earth?

No worries, the event did not get kidnapped by outer-space IT gurus. In the early years SCU Europe was mainly focused on System Center, but with the rapid changes in the Information Technology industry – the focus extended to a lot more topics besides only System Center. So therefore, the conference led by Microsoft MVP Marcel Zehner, joined forces with Experts Live Global after SCU Europe 2016, and is known since then as Experts Live Europe, Experts Live EU or simply ELEU.
