5 Tips For Those Who Can't Find Time To Learn
If you're having difficulties finding time to learn, here are 5 tips that can help.
1. If you can connect whatever you're learning with an automatic habit you already have established, that will save you countless hours of trying to establish a new habit. Also, you will get to the learning task quickly, every time.
2. Learning doesn't have to be allocated in large blocks, say 30 mins or 1 hour. If you can schedule 5 or even 10 minutes scattered throughout your day into your calendar, this will add up very quickly and you will start to see results. The smaller chunks also help with motivation to keep going.
3. This is an obvious one, wake up early. By giving yourself extra time in the morning you create the mental space and energy to attack your learning. You may also find that mornings are a fantastic time to learn as your mental energy hasn't yet been filled with the day's events.
4. If it's possible and you can, learn with others. This can make the learning process much more enjoyable and you can have discussions around the learning which can assist in recall.
5. Don't try and fill your day to be "busy". Being busy does not mean you're productive. Try and include some times throughout the day where you have free time. You can use this free time to learn if you can, or simply relax and gather your thoughts. If you're just too busy then you're not doing it right. Re-evaluate your priorities and cut down some things that are not necessary.
