  • Please use your social media accounts as your personal marketing and networking platform. Long gone are the days when LinkedIn was a dead digital CV. It's free advertising to your connections and prospective clients for what problems interest you and the potential solutions you offer.

  • Engage strategically, and regularly, interacting in focused relevant discussions connected directly to your professional passions. Find the leading people in your fields of interest then explore and forge mutually beneficial partnerships. There is a stampeding herd of frivolous social media activity that strategically serves to usurp your attention through your passions; consuming your focus, energy and drive.

Avoid the noise, and focus on what brings value.

  • Remember that your social media profile is primarily about you and telling your world WHO you are not just what you do. Tell your story, give more context to the why that motivates you, and the values that guide you.

  • Don't allow other corporations to totally dominate your social media presence. We don't just want to hear about what you do for business [X]. Your future clients need to see the unique selling point of working with you.


  • Be intentional and authentic about branding! Represent your personality, style and way of social engagement and be consistent in your communications!
