It’s that time of year! Kids go back to school, teachers back to the classroom, and parents get to have the everyday struggle of waking their kids up in the morning!
But as a teacher or a parent with all of these extra responsibilities how in the world are you supposed to keep up with your fitness routine and healthy eating habits? Keep reading for my 5 tips on how to stay on track as you get back into the school year!
1. Start Meal Planning - Meal planning can mean different things to different people, but doing some form of it will help you meet your goals. Planning out your meals will save time, stress, and ensure that you eat healthy! Download Our Easy Recipe Book Here
2. Find An Exercise You Enjoy - If you hate what you’re doing, you will always have an excuse for why not to do it. If you find an exercise that you actually enjoy, that is effective for your body, and fits your lifestyle and schedule, exercising can become way easier! Checkout some of our clients that have had success!
3. Create a Workout Schedule - grab your planner or schedule book and see how your day stacks up. You might see that you have bus duty on Tuesday and can’t go to the gym that morning so you’ll have to opt for an evening workout. Plan your workouts in advance and put it on a calendar or to-do list. This will make you feel more accountable and can even give you something to look forward to. 4. Short, consistent workouts are key - Consistency is the most important part of staying fit. A little bit every day really adds up, and enveloping it into your daily routine will make it much more enjoyable for you. Try starting with quick 15-20 minute workouts and build on that! 5. Seek Accountability- Find a workout buddy. They hold you accountable and make workouts more enjoyable. If a workout buddy isn’t an option, find someone to check in with you about your exercising habits, goals and progress.
