5 Tips to Grow Your LinkedIn Audience
LinkedIn growth is easy — make that mindset. It is true to some extent though. You just have to follow a few sets of rules to start growing an online audience, and eventually start building business on LinkedIn.
I built my 65,000+ tribe online across the platforms by spending 1 hour a day and numbers are growing faster.
Here are top 5 tips for you to grow from 500 to 5,000 or even 50,000+ audience online.
1. Be Human
You’ve to understand that you’re a human, just like other people on the internet. Sometimes many people forget that they aren’t interacting with humans especially when it comes to trolling and criticising.
Other-hand few brands or individuals feel superior and write content without adding any personality or human touch. It looks like an AI written copy intended to be read by other AI.
This world is not yet that advanced that your AI copy automatically gets translated into human readable and understandable language and – feed them instantly while reading your content. There isn't a human anywhere in the content hence you can imagine the results.
Write your content like you’re talking directly to your friends. For example, look at this article or my previous articles - they are kind of conversational.
Don’t you agree?
Here are some examples how few brands are humanizing their content:
Alright!
Let’s move on to the next one.
2. Treat LinkedIn as a business tool
There are many business tools out there but we easily forget the tool which you’re currently reading on! LinkedIn is the best business tool you ever come across. Make a use of this tool at utmost and build your business from scratch or expand the existing one.
If you haven’t started taking LinkedIn seriously yet then this is your chance. Get started on the platform and you’ll figure out the way to grow and build a business — as long as you stick to the platform and your goals.
My DMs are always open for any doubt or help you may need. Also, this 2-week growth plan designed by me definitely helps you to kick start your journey on LinkedIn.
3. Build Community, Not just followers
Social media followers are a rented property. Even if you manage to build your audience on LinkedIn you still need to put some extra effort to convert those connections/followers into your fans or privately owned community members.
It’s not necessary to monetize your community. You can gather people together and host a private community for free. Try to be accessible to your audience as much as you can!
I've scattered communities on different-different platforms and most of you are already part of it. Do let me know if you want me to host a bigger community at one place and run it for FREE. I’m always open to it — do let me know your views in the comments below. This time we will try to do it on a massive scale.
4. Master Content Writing
Writing is a God gift. I realized this secret a little late but anyways, better late than never. There is a huge opportunity in the content creation space. There is a term called the “creator economy” — it’s real.
The number one reason this industry is booming is because of “accessibility”.

I can’t stress enough on this,
You don’t have to be a writer to start writing on LinkedIn.
In fact I wrote a post last week and many people engaged and agreed to this but very few people actually started their content creation journey.
5. Build Trust
Accept the fact that people don’t trust easily. It doesn’t matter where you're trying– either online or offline. But once they trust you, it’s your responsibility to maintain that trust and make sure there would not be any single crack to that trust.?
The first 4 tips definitely help you to establish trust with your audience but sometimes you have to go beyond that and help people generously.
An easiest way to build trust is to share everything you know— transparently, without holding back any information. The basic information for you might be revolutionary to someone else.
Quote of the Week
I’ve been active on Twitter lately. I observed one thing that people tweet so many startup ideas but very few people start thinking seriously and taking it into action in real life.
Post of the Week: Share Your Goal of The Year
I share one growth hack with a live example in my every newsletter. So you can read, understand and implement the same to grow your account.
This week I talked about my aspiration to appear on 52 podcasts as a guest and I’ve already recorded one and few are already lined up.
If you increase your accessibility and announce to the world that you’re open for it and you really want to do this– people will support you as long as your aspirations are real and genuine.?
First podcast of the year as guest on Clint Hinkle 's podcast.
?? Exercise: Write down your goal that requires immediate action. Make a plan, start executing it and share it to the world openly.
