The next generation of leaders - the leaders of tomorrow, is often called the generation of young leaders. I truly believe that young people are leading today. They are dynamic members of our society who actively support the social, cultural and economic growth of our communities.
In order to help young people serve their communities today and in the future, as well as to develop current and future leadership, it is essential to foster leadership, mutual understanding and commitment to youth service.
Therefore, it is essential to develop leadership, understanding between people, and commitment to serve others. It is essential to develop current and future leadership as well as to help children serve their communities now and in the future. Through youth exchange programs, there is a need to foster leadership qualities, cross-cultural awareness, commitment to service and long-term commitments.
Why are youth programs needed?
Youth exchange programs and youth movements have an impact beyond their home communities. Youth grouping and training workshops build relationships and capacity. Programs provide opportunities for youth to develop organizationally and professionally.
Why should youth leadership be encouraged?
Consider that every young person has the potential to be a leader. Not everyone is comfortable leading meetings or speaking at events, but they may be able to discuss a project with a teacher or write a thesis or professional paper.
Youth-led projects or activities are called "opportunities."
The only way to grow leaders authentically is to step back from time to time and play the supporting role. Asking a youth to take ownership of a task before deciding to do it yourself can have a bad effect. Holding leaders accountable when they fail to complete a task is essential.?
The skills and support you provide to a group should also be assessed to ensure that expectations have been set, a timeline has been established, and any additional support needs have been identified. Ensure that youth have the guidance they need to complete the tasks set.
1. Youth Service Development
When peers or adults provide interventions to solve youth problems, but fail to develop the information, skills, or abilities that enable youth to do so themselves, services must be provided to youth.
"Youth service programs and organizations provide the care and assistance that youth need to cope with challenges. Instead of viewing youth as participants or active members, the service model views them as clients. There is a need to be involved in a young person's life and to help them deal with personal challenges. The intellectual, psychological, or economic challenges that youth face cast a shadow over whatever talents or innate abilities they may have.
Instead of viewing these barriers as part of a common effort to improve life chances, success is determined by an organization's ability to help some youth overcome their own barriers. Most of the time, youth services are provided as a crisis response or prevention.
2. Youth Development
Youth development occurs when youth leaders and supportive adults foster the knowledge, skills, and abilities that enable youth to address challenges on their own.
Youth development requires providing youth with consistent settings, services, and education. They also need relationships and networks that provide support, expectations, and guidance, as well as opportunities to try out different roles, take on challenges, and give back to their families and communities.?

Positive youth development cannot and does not occur in the absence of these circumstances. Any individual, institution, or group wishing to engage in extended work with children must be aware of the youth development framework and incorporate these ideas into their plans.
3. Youth leading.
When youth receive the instruction, training, and other support, advocacy, and encouragement they need from youth leaders and adult allies, youth leadership development takes place. This allows youth to move from solving their own problems to understanding and visualizing their potential role in solving community problems.
Youth leadership development allows youth to become aware of their connection to a larger group, organization or community by encouraging them to look beyond their own needs and interests. Youth can contribute to the well-being of others by participating in the leadership development of other youth. School program activities should actively involve the study of leadership, and youth should be encouraged to develop moral codes to govern their interactions with others.
By serving in important positions within organizations, such as on boards, staff, or as peer trainers, youth can develop their leadership skills. In addition, community service and skill-building programs give youth more opportunities to make decisions and solve problems.
4. Youth Civic Participation
When youth leaders and adult allies help youth progress in developing the civic awareness and leadership skills to take on active leadership roles in group problem solving and civic processes, youth civic engagement grows.
Youth who are actively engaged in shaping democracy in society in conjunction with others are considered youth activists. The emphasis on youth involvement in a democratic process, both within organizations and in the broader community, is what distinguishes this approach from others.
In general, youth meet in small groups to discuss issues they want to address. Political education and ongoing policy analysis are linked to campaigning for issues that youth recognize. Youth are moving from a solitary mentality, "what can I do on my own," to a group mentality, "what can we do together." This shift is critical as youth learn to navigate the political institutions of both community and government through local youth councils and advocacy organizations.
5. Mobilizing youth
For youth to self-identify community problems and potential solutions, and to self-organize to address these problems in practical settings, youth leaders and senior leaders must first create the right conditions.
Youth organizing is a youth development and social justice method that educates and supports young people in using their advocacy and community organizing skills to shift power dynamics and bring about meaningful institutional change in their communities.
Youth organizing is based on young people using their influence and leadership to solve problems that affect youth and their communities. The problems are determined by young people themselves, and youth organizing helps them plan, carry out, and evaluate their own initiatives for change.?
Youth organizing stimulates civic engagement and develops young people's individual and collective leadership potential through activities such as community research, problem-solving development, reflection, policy analysis and direct action.
Currently, there are over 100 million young people around the world who are active and engaged in various causes. In addition, it is important to keep in mind that youth are developed in communities, not just in community and youth development programs, when we consider the growth and role of youth in our society.?
What would our communities and society look like if the vision, leadership, energy, and abilities of just a small portion of all youth were directed toward community transformation? This is probably the most important question from this perspective.
The reflection continues.
