Tip: For increased productivity, let go of the notion that all your chores will ever be completed. Making purposeful choices that propel us toward the most essential outcomes is a better approach to look at "achieving the end-goal."

Tip: Stop stressing so much over making to-do lists. They aren't going to save the day. In fact, having a list like this might be a great method to fool yourself into thinking you've accomplished something when your to-do list is still if ever. To-do lists by themselves don't help you go forward with a project or task. Rather than set commitments, they are only intentions.

Tip: For example, if your boss prefers to email new ideas and goals late at night, be aware of this and plan to respond first thing in the morning. If, on the other hand, you know that your greatest writing or coding time is first thing in the morning, block out some time in your calendar and then take care of calls and emails. Controlling the flow of communication is an important part of your time management toolkit.

Tip: Small, incremental improvements are the greatest method to improve time management for yourself and your team. Begin with short-term goals: schedule time for executing or planning, set aside one day a week to return calls or non-urgent emails, or schedule a free hour every afternoon for unexpected meetings.

Tip: The truth is that routine promotes creativity and productivity. Breaking down a major objective into small chunks and completing those tasks on time is the best approach to achieve it. Always budget for more time than you think you'll need. Try to settle into a work routine that matches your internal clock, and stick to your daily goals.
