Products are never just products, right?
- Apple is more than a phone company.
- Coca-Cola is more than a soda.
- Amazon is more than an online shop.
- Google is more than a search engine.
- Tesla is more than an electric car.
Buying their products gives you experiences. When you purchase their products you have that experience in your mind.
That's not by accident.
They have designed it in a way so that you go through that experience every time you think about them or their products.
That's why they create a BRAND.
What is a brand?
A brand is the consumer’s PERCEPTION and the meaning people attach to the company product or service
What immediately comes to mind when you think of the brands, after the logos and look of the brand?
They have great color palettes and slick logos, sure.
But that is not what makes them powerful brands.
You likely have some feelings, emotions, and beliefs about the brand come up.
Good or bad.
That is the essence of a brand: The feelings, emotions, and beliefs people have when they think of the brand.
While most of us can name a plethora of household brand names at the drop of a hat—like Apple, Coca-Cola, Amazon, Tesla, Google, and more—it’s defining what makes Amazon a brand and not just a rainforest can be challenging.
However, when it comes to marketing, your brand is one of your most powerful assets.
That is a corporate brand and how one is built. What about a personal brand?
