Chicago’s Small Businesses Are Optimistic About Themselves – Not So Much About Chicago

A majority of Chicago’s small business owners – nearly three in four – are optimistic about their business’ prospects over the coming year, according to a survey conducted by the Chamber and the University of Illinois Chicago College of Business Administration, sponsored by TikTok. That figure, however, drops 14 percentage points when owners are asked about the city’s economic future. Those are just some of the compelling data points unveiled at the release of the survey results on Thursday, Sept. 26. Chamber CEO and President Jack Lavin, TikTok Global Head of Business Marketing Sofia Hernandez, and other leaders spoke at the event.?
