Chamber Issues Joint Statement on CPS Board Situation

The Chicago Public School system plays a crucial role for our city’s families and is a critical factor in our city’s short- and long-term future. That’s why the recent developments with the CPS Board are so important, and why the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce has issued a statement with Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago. In light of the mass resignations on the CPS Board, we strongly urge the Board to keep CEO Pedro Martinez in place, reject the misguided proposal to borrow more money, and work with all parties to bring transparency, long-term fiscal stability, and quality education to the school system.?
Next Deadline to File for 50% Reimbursement Training Grant: October 15

Whether you work with a prequalified training provider, collaborate with your own vendor, or seek funding to offset the cost of internal training, a variety of training expenses may be eligible to be reimbursed -- including training that's already completed. If your organization offers upskilling support for your employees, the Employer Training Investment Program (ETIP) might be able to help cover the cost of your investment. Check now to find out if you’re eligible to receive a 50% reimbursement. File by October 15 for trainings that occurred between July 1 and September 30.?

Chicago Named Top City by Condé Nast -- Again
