5 Things To Note When You Go Business Trip To Thailand.
Thailand is an exotic land, full of strong cultural colors of Southeast Asia. Bangkok is: Hot, noisy and so attractive. People who visited BKK would always say: I love this place.
So many times trip to Thai, and I had an one day business trip this week. Meeting with awesome people at Elevated Estate meet up. Discussing the medical cannabis legalization trends and market, and great networking afterward.
Here are 10 things that I can come up with mind to share about a business trip to Thailand:
1. There is a gender distinction when you are greeting in Thai.
I'm a language lover. I speak with English, Japanese, Cantonese and many accents of Chinese. Learning some Thai is very interesting as well.
If you are a gentleman you go: SA WA DEE KRA
If you are a lady you go: SA WA DEE KA
(A man don't speak it wrong or otherwise will be considered as a Ladyboy) :D
2. The taxi doesn't have a receipt.
What should you do if you are on a business trip?
Take a picture of the meter.
3. Exchange rate in the airport(on arrival) is not economical.
So when you are arriving at BKK and in urgent need some cash. You can make some exchange just for immediate needs.
4. Roaming with China Mobile you still can't login Facebook or Twitter or anything without using VPN.
If you travel from China, and you using roaming service. You think your limitation is freed when you arrived in Thai? You are wrong, then. You still need us VPN or to work in a WiFi covering place.
5. Ride MTR to a meeting
Some of the time and some of the location are high risk of traffic jam. So if you don't want be late you'd better ride MTR.
