5 Things to Know About the PACE General Board Meeting | March 19, 2024

The Professional Association of Campus Employees (PACE) General Board met on March 19, 2024, to discuss matters relevant to PACE.

Here are the top five things that were discussed:

  1. Vice President of Digital Transformation (Dx) Christina Baum discussed the history of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and UVU’s free offering of Microsoft Copilot AI.
  2. Sustainability Outreach Program Manager Sarah Bateman plugged the Third Annual Sustainability Summit on April 9, 2024, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
  3. Senior Director of Employee Relations Drew Burke discussed proposed revisions to Policy 335, which pertains to staff grievances. The changes will ensure the process is more compliant, fair, consistent, and indiscriminate. Visit the UVU Policy Pipeline to learn more.

Vice President of Marketing and Communications Kara Schneck and Executive Assistant Tearsa Burke discussed proposed changes to Policy 113, which pertains to university Awards of Excellence and other university awards. PACE General Board meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month from 2-4 pm in SC 213C. All PACE members are invited to attend
