5 Things I'm Doing (COVID Edition)
Paired with the responsible hunkering down in response to COVID-19 and starting a new job, I’m focusing on some crucial ways to set conditions for success in these hectic times.
First, don’t change your healthy routines. If you haven’t, START. If you have them —stick with them— cold exposure, gratitude, meditation and daily exercise (to include Kokoro yoga) help me keep your body humming through the hardest of times. Supplementing is also part of my routine. If it’s not yours — consider a NMN, Resversatrol, extra Vitamin C, and oregano oil.
Second, make the best use of local grocery delivery. Don’t horde but get what you need without venturing out. For us in North Austin, there are a lot of choices but by far Sprouts and Whole Foods lead the pack.
Third, we moved back for local farm meat deliveries — I’ve been hankering to do this since we got to Austin. We found 1915 Farms and their GrassFed boxes are an awesome solution.
Fourth, find some time to read and continue to grow intellectually. For me that a mixture of following my favorite Austin and worldwide influencers like Joseph Kopser, Jason Kelly, Tim Ferriss, Mark Divine, Jocko Willink, Dr. Safi Bahcall, Dr. David Sinclair and Dr. Matthew Walker on Stitcher and getting into a few new books like Mark Divine’s Staring Down the Wolf (#STDW) and Jocko Willink’s new Leadership Strategy and Tactics.
Lastly — for my immunity I took things to another level. Consider the following;
IV Drip - I use the New Myers formula at Restore.
Athletic Greens - while this is one of my daily habits its very new. With all your daily veggies in one formula make it the choice for athletes and longevity hacks world wide.
Fast or Intermittent Fasting — Having ketones on hand and will help you guard against infection.
Wipe it Down — Wipe down those surfaces where you sit, place you devices, after the accidental handshake, headrests and, of course, door knobs.
