5 Things I Explored This Week

1) What I am thinking

The past 2 months have been one of the busiest periods of my life. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always looked up to great entrepreneurs like Steve Jobs and Elon Musk and dreamt of being one. When I was a kid, I thought being an entrepreneur was COOL and always wondered why people don’t take that route.?

But I’ve come to understand the reality of entrepreneurship in the last few years by working with lots of different start-ups and being a founder myself. Everything looks good on the outside, but what goes on inside is terrifying and exciting at the same time. Elon Musk has this quote - “Being an entrepreneur is like eating glass and staring into the abyss of death” which completely makes sense now.?

A lot of people become entrepreneurs for the wrong reasons and they realize it as soon as they start which makes them quit. With the growing use of social media, everyone gets attached to what is being shown. But no one talks about what goes on behind the scenes. The movie “The Social Network” is the perfect example of this.?

Being a founder is one of the most fulfilling jobs in the whole world if you are in it for the right reasons. Every day I face uncertainty and feel as if nothing’s working. Every night after finishing work, I feel as if I am missing out on life by just working, and have a sense of loneliness. Being on this path requires a lot of sacrifices and it's a lonely path. Bad thoughts always pop up. But I need to dream bigger and continue pushing without losing hope.
